Hi, I'm Amelia, Ame for short. I'm 23. I prefer she/her pronouns. I work as a fullstack developer and in my free time I enjoy programming, videogames and music.

I'm a big FOSS advocate when making software as I believe everyone should be able to adapt any software to their needs. I do use propietary software, I mean it would be weird for me to use some messaging app that any of my friend had :)

I really like coding in Rust, C# and C++ or any backend language really, I really really really hate frontend and I do everything in my power to never touch anything frontend related unless 200% necessary.

I also, very rarelly, do a little bit of game dev on my free time, mainly pixel art platformers or top down (like Stardew Valley) but never stuck with one, all I have are some 2D piexel art platformer engines with basic functions like movement, dialog and quest systems etc and since I'm not a very artsy person they are all very ugly and not worth your time. Maybe someday they will tho...

Linux

It's my main system. I use Arch with i3.i use Arch btw

Windows 10

Mainly used for gaming and software like Photoshop. I use a custom Windows 10 ISO with pretty much everything disabled, no Cortana, no Windows Store, no telemetry...
Waiting the day I can play games on Linux without any issue. I would like to do a passthrough setup in the near future but for now a dualboot will do just fine.

Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code

Thats what I use at work, don't really enjoy neither of them.

Jetbrains Rider

My go to when I write C#, the IDE is just better in every way to Visual Studio in my opinion and is just an enjoyable tool to work with.

Neovim

For everything else where I don't need an IDE I use Neovim for about everything. It has a very steep learning curve but I recommend everyone to try it at least once in their life.

Git Extensions

I usually use the terminal git commands but when I need a GUI this is my go to.
